ABOUT JOEL WARREN

One day presenting original research at a conference to the next day performing a trumpet concerto, this is the life of Joel Warren. Joel’s whole life has revolved around music. He started playing guitar at age four, trumpet at age twelve, and teaching music lessons and presenting research at age eighteen. Joel has had the privilege to study with trumpet greats such as Jim Murray, André Wickenheiser, and Adam Zinatelli; his research focus is in reception studies, specifically how and why audiences respond to music in a certain manner. Joel is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Professional music at Ambrose University where he expects to graduate May 2026.
